The Great British Beer Festival 2008

The Great British Beer Festival, run by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), is a great place to try out some new beers as well as choosing from some of your favourites.
A Wide Variety of Flavours at the Great British Beer Festival

At the festival, you can taste a wide range of real ales, ciders, perries and international beers.

There’ll be at least 450 beers available throughout the festival including:

* golden ales
* fruit beers
* stouts
* bitters
* international real lagers

As well as a great selection of beer there is also cider and perry, all available in pint, half pint and third pint measures.

The organisers are expecting to serve 300,000 pints of beer over 5 days.
Fun and Games at the Great British Beer Festival

There’s plenty to occupy you at the festival aside from the ale.

Play some traditional pub games, join in a pub quiz, enjoy the live music, sample some traditional pub snacks, or attend a tutored beer tasting.
Tutored Beer Tastings at London’s Earls Court

Learn to taste beer like an expert with one of the tutored beer tasting sessions at the Great British Beer Festival.

You can take part in tastings in the evening or at lunchtimes. You’ll be led through taste, look, style, history and other interesting information about the beers that you try.

The tutored tastings usually sell out in advance so please book early to avoid disappointment.
